AutoCAD Architecture 2011 Overview

AutoCAD Architecture is a tool from Autodesk main product i.e. AutoCAD. This application has tools and functions specially designed for architectural purposes. The application enables a quick productivity. AutoCAD Architecture 2011 has documentation and design based on AutoCAD that will enhance an architect’s work. The software provides more tool than before thus enabling the architects to work in an efficient manner with some pace. For using and getting fruits out of this software is easy task as it is based on the familiar AutoCAD environment so no special training is needed.

Here are some new features that has been included or modified in this version. The user interface is simple and the best part is that there are not a major overhauling being done on it so the user will find it familiar. Though there has been some minor changes being made in the ribbons and panels. One nice addition in this version is that the View Cube is added in the 2D Wireframe as well. One new addition that is being made is the inclusion of Navigation bar which is a floating palette. With this Navigation bar, lots of commands like Pan and Zoom can be accessed easily. This freely floating bar can be switched ON or OFF. You can also tie it with the View Cube in case you are uncomfortable with its floating mode.

Constraints can be applied to different objects in the design like you can apply constraint to the wall with respect to the Grid line. The wall will remain at a distance from the Grid line. Opening can be placed in the walls with boundaries defined. This is the feature from previous version but it has been greatly enhanced.

A web based help is also provided. If you have an internet connection than you will receive a comprehensive help from Autodesk in case you are stuck in the middle or have some confusion.

Transparency has also been included between the layer which makes it more easier to view different parts on different layer.

On a conclusive note we can say that AutoCAD Architecture 2011 is a great tool for architects for making their design in a very efficient and productive manner.
