Atmosfear: The Gatekeeper is a board game created by John Yianni and released in 1991. It is the first in a series of five games, collectively known as the Atmosfear series. In the game, players take on the role of Gatekeepers, tasked with collecting six keys before their opponents do.

Atmosfear: The Gatekeeper is played on a circular game board featuring six sections, each representing one of the six keys that must be collected. Players take turns spinning the spinner at the center of the board and following the instructions for the space it landed on. However, if the timer runs out before any player collects all six keys, then the player who has collected the most keys wins. The game features a VHS tape with a host, known as “The Gatekeeper”, who provides commentary as well as clues to the players throughout the game.

Atmosfear: The Gatekeeper has become a cult classic due to its unique theme and rich atmosphere. Its success spawned four sequels, including Atmosfear: The Harbingers, Atmosfear: The Key of Nightmares, Atmosfear: The Wrath of Gods, and Atmosfear: The Third Dimension.
